Foreign Minister Reiterates Kuwait's Absolute Solidarity with Saudi Arabia: We Support All Measures by the Kingdom to Safeguard Its Sovereignty, Security, and Stability

Foreign Minister Sheikh Jara Al-Jaber held talks with Saudi Minister of State and Cabinet Member, His Royal Highness Prince Turki bin Mohammed bin Fahd bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, on the deep-rooted historical ties and strong fraternal relations uniting the two countries and their brotherly peoples, as well as ways to enhance and develop these ties across various fields. This came during their meeting in the Saudi capital, Riyadh, as part of the Foreign Minister’s official visit to the sisterly Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

The two sides reviewed measures to strengthen relations in a manner that reflects the wise directives of the leaderships of both countries and meets their aspirations for greater integration and joint cooperation. During the meeting, the Foreign Minister reaffirmed Kuwait’s absolute solidarity with the sisterly Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and its full support for all measures and steps taken to safeguard its sovereignty, protect its security and stability, and counter the terrorist attacks carried out by the Houthi militia. He emphasized that the security of the Kingdom is an integral part of the security of the State of Kuwait and the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries.

In the same context, Foreign Minister Sheikh Jara Al-Jaber met with Saudi Minister of Energy and Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources, His Royal Highness Prince Abdulaziz bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, to discuss the deep-rooted historical ties and strong fraternal relations uniting the two countries and their brotherly peoples, as well as ways to enhance and develop these ties across various fields. During a meeting within the framework of his official visit to Riyadh, the Foreign Minister reaffirmed Kuwait’s absolute solidarity with the sisterly Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and its full support for all measures and steps taken to safeguard its sovereignty, protect its security and stability, and counter the terrorist attacks carried out by the Houthi militia. He emphasized that the security of the Kingdom is an integral part of the security of the State of Kuwait and the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries. According to a statement issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Sheikh Jara Al-Jaber reiterated Kuwait’s strong condemnation and denunciation of the terrorist attacks carried out by the Houthi militia against several areas in the sisterly Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, as well as their attempts to target Makkah Al-Mukarramah and Al-Madinah Al-Munawwarah. He stressed that these heinous attacks constitute a blatant violation of the Kingdom’s sovereignty, a flagrant breach of international law and international humanitarian law, a clear infringement on the sanctity of Islamic holy sites and their religious status, and a provocation of the feelings of Muslims around the world.

He stressed that the continuation and recurrence of these organized hostile acts, which involve targeting civilian objects and vital facilities, represent a serious escalation and a direct threat to the security of the Kingdom and the stability of the region, in addition to posing serious risks to the safety of civilians and the security of air navigation. This necessitates a firm international stance that ensures holding those responsible for these attacks accountable and bringing them to justice. He reaffirmed Kuwait’s absolute solidarity with the sisterly Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and its support for all measures taken to safeguard its sovereignty, protect its security and stability, emphasizing that the security of the Kingdom is an integral part of the security of the State of Kuwait and the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries.
