Dr. Amthal Al-Hawila, Minister of Social Affairs, Family, and Childhood, inaugurated today, Wednesday, the first physiotherapy clinic in the mobile service unit for the elderly, under the Elderly Care Administration in the Qurn area of the Al-Mubarrah Governorate, in collaboration with the Ibrahim Al-Baghl Foundation for the Filial Son.
In a press statement following the inauguration, Minister Al-Hawila said that launching this clinic aligns with the Ministry’s commitment to developing the elderly care system, improving their quality of life, and facilitating their access to health and rehabilitation services close to their residential areas.
She praised the role of the Ibrahim Al-Baghl Foundation in supporting community initiatives and strengthening partnerships to serve the elderly, through its donation of this clinic, which is the first center of its kind to be established in the Al-Mubarrah Governorate to serve this demographic.
She noted that there is a plan to expand health and rehabilitation services, including the opening of additional centers in the coming period to serve the elderly across various governorates in the country.
She clarified that the services provided include supplying special equipment for the elderly, delivering home care and services via mobile clinics, as well as issuing “Priority” cards and parking permits for the elderly, in accordance with approved regulations based on a medical report confirming disability status.
