Barcelona went to bed hungry, while Madrid danced until dawn, thanks to a cunning manager: Jose Mourinho. The Portuguese tactician stood like a towering fortress in the heart of the Catalans’ stronghold, in their intimidating stadium, and flashed his iconic “Special One” finger gesture, leading his Madrid squad to a decisive, stern, crushing, and overwhelming victory. Barcelona’s fans felt as though they were facing 22 players, as every Madrid player seemed to be doubled up.
Mourinho arrived from afar, his hair streaked with gray, and deployed his players in their positions, telling them: “Their defense is fragile; it can be broken. Attack them from the left, the right, and through the spearhead.”
Mourinho came to the Camp Nou after years, inspected the goals, and looked at the fans, as if saying, “You know me.” He arrived at Real Madrid and shattered Barcelona’s dominance in recent encounters, securing a magnificent victory befitting his name and legacy. Every Real Madrid player was at the peak of their powers—goalkeeper, defenders, midfielders, forwards, and substitutes alike—and their fans celebrated across the entire globe.
