In line with its social responsibility and commitment to enhancing health awareness, Kuwait Insurance Company organized its annual breast cancer awareness campaign under the slogan “Early Detection is Safety,” coinciding with the global breast cancer awareness month. The campaign aimed to highlight the importance of early detection, regular screenings, and preventive measures.
As part of the campaign, the company organized a humanitarian visit to Maki Jumaa Hospital, where symbolic gifts were distributed to patients in collaboration with the Lebanese Soap House, which provided soaps made from natural olive oil to bring joy and boost the morale of patients during their treatment journey. The visit was coordinated with the hospital administration, which contributed to organizing and facilitating the process.
In this context, Fajr Al-Sayegh, Director of Corporate Communications at Kuwait Insurance Company, stated: “We believe that our responsibility toward society extends beyond providing insurance services to include humanitarian initiatives that have a positive impact on individuals’ lives. We strive to support cancer patients emotionally through this campaign, recognizing the importance of psychological support during the treatment journey.” She added: “Breast cancer awareness involves promoting a culture of early detection and encouraging women to undergo regular screenings, which contributes to detecting the disease in its early stages and improving treatment outcomes.”
The company also organized an awareness event for its employees at its headquarters, which included wearing pink, distributing sweets, pins, and educational brochures about breast cancer symptoms, prevention methods, and the importance of early screening.
In the realm of digital awareness, the Corporate Communications Department launched a series of educational videos during Pink October through the company’s social media channels, in collaboration with Al-Muwasa’a New Hospital, which provided specialized doctors to participate in preparing and filming these videos. The videos addressed the most common questions about breast cancer.
Concluding her remarks, Al-Sayegh reaffirmed the company’s commitment to supporting women and prioritizing their health, as well as continuing to launch initiatives that enhance health awareness and serve society.
She also expressed her gratitude and appreciation to the Ministry of Health – Public Relations and Media Department, Maki Jumaa Hospital administration, Al-Muwasa’a New Hospital for its medical and awareness contributions, and the Lebanese Soap House.
