The Directorate of Security for Hawalli Governorate carried out a comprehensive security and inspection campaign in the Hawalli area, in coordination with relevant government authorities, to apprehend violators of laws and regulations, combat non-compliant practices and transgressions, and reinforce security and traffic discipline.
The campaign was supervised and attended by Brigadier General Haqqawi Abdulaziz Bandar Al-Omar, Head of the Sector for Security Directorates Affairs; Brigadier General Haqqawi Hussein Muhammad Dashti, Director General of the Hawalli Security Directorate; and Brigadier General Muhammad Fares Al-Muassab, Assistant Director General of the Hawalli Security Directorate.
The campaign yielded 602 arrests, violations, and actions, as follows:
- Issuance of 353 traffic violations.
- Provision of 90 cases of humanitarian assistance.
- Registration of 43 warnings for vehicles.
- Arrest of 23 wanted persons and absentees.
- Arrest of 17 individuals violating residency and labor laws.
- Deployment of 17 security teams.
- Identification of 15 abandoned vehicles.
- Arrest of 11 individuals lacking identity documents.
- Arrest of 6 individuals in possession of narcotics.
- Arrest of 4 street vendors.
- Arrest of 2 individuals in possession of intoxicants.
- Issuance of one environmental violation.
Efforts by participating government authorities resulted in 587 violations and actions, specifically:
- Issuance of 17 violation reports.
- Closure of 111 establishments by the General Fire Department.
- Destruction of 55 kilograms of spoiled food items.
- Issuance of 27 violation reports.
- Closure of 15 food establishments by the Public Authority for Food and Nutrition.
- Issuance of 43 violation reports by the Ministry of Commerce and Industry.
- Removal of 24 abandoned vehicles.
- Placement of 16 warning notices by the Kuwait Municipality.
Additionally, 70 inspections were conducted on commercial establishments, and 27 notices were issued to rectify violations by the Public Authority for Manpower. The Public Authority for the Environment also inspected 70 establishments, in addition to:
- Issuance of 11 inspection reports.
- Issuance of 3 violation reports.
The total number of arrests, violations, and actions conducted during the campaign amounted to 1,189.
The Ministry of Interior continues its security and traffic campaigns in cooperation and coordination with relevant authorities to apprehend violators and enforce the law without exception, thereby contributing to the enhancement of security and safety and the preservation of public order.
