AbdulKarim Al-Abdullah: The Salman Al-Dabous Heart Disease Center at Al-Adan Hospital launched a transcatheter tricuspid valve implantation program, successfully performing two procedures via the jugular vein in the neck using the LuX-Valve Plus valve through an incision no larger than one centimeter in diameter. The Ministry of Health stated in a press release that the two surgeries were performed on two Kuwaiti women in their late seventies, who suffered from severe tricuspid regurgitation and early-stage liver fibrosis. It added that the medical team was led by Dr. Al-Tayeb Al-Qallaf, consultant of valve and structural heart diseases, with the participation of Dr. Ali Al-Humaidan, consultant of cardiology and echocardiography, and Dr. Ibrahim Arzon, cardiologist.
