Arteta Pleased with Arsenal's First Corner Goal of the Season

Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta expressed his delight at his team’s first corner-kick goal of the season, following a 2-0 victory over Everton on Saturday in the English Premier League. “I am very happy with this win. We made five changes to the starting lineup because we played three matches in less than six days, which is extremely difficult.”

He added, “I think we put in a good performance and applied early pressure on our opponents. We struggled with the final touch, but we scored from a set piece—our first corner goal this season—which gave us confidence and composure to control the match. Nevertheless, the game remained open to all possibilities until we scored the second goal.”

The Spanish manager then praised Brazilian defender Gabriel Magalhães, who scored the second goal, saying, “He is one of the best defenders in the world, and he has a significant impact in the penalty area in both defensive and attacking situations. His contribution to the team is unique, and we are delighted to have him.”
