Al-Nasr secured an important 3-0 victory over Al-Sahel in their match played today at the Nayef Al-Dabous Stadium, as part of the sixth round of the Zain Premier League. With this win, Al-Awnabi (Al-Nasr) temporarily moved up to third place with 12 points, while Al-Sahel remained on their previous tally of four points in ninth place.

In the first half, Al-Nasr managed to take the lead from a well-executed free kick taken from outside the penalty area by Sidi Yacoub, beating the goal of Fawaz Al-Dosari (28th minute). Al-Sahel then suffered a heavy blow when their foreign player Lucas Aragao was sent off for a strong challenge on Al-Nasr striker Hazem Haj Eissa (36th minute). Al-Awnabi quickly capitalized on the numerical advantage, with Hazem himself scoring the second goal with a brilliant shot from outside the box (43rd minute).

In the second half, Al-Sahel attempted to reduce the deficit and pressed Al-Nasr’s goal despite being down to ten men, while Al-Awnabi relied on counter-attacks in hopes of exploiting one of the opportunities to score a third goal. This finally materialized in the 85th minute through substitute Musfer Al-Adwani. The match was refereed by Hussein Jamal, who performed well.
