Video: 'Wrong Way' Traffic Violation Leads to Discovery of Alcohol Factory

Traffic police in Ahmadi uncovered a local liquor production facility inside a home in the Al-Wafra residential area, arresting seven individuals, including a woman, and seizing quantities of liquor and equipment used in its production.

The Ministry of Interior stated in a statement issued Thursday evening that the incident began when a patrol from the Ahmadi Governorate Security Directorate, represented by the Al-Wafra Police Station, was on duty near the Al-Wafra Residential Association. Security personnel observed a driver proceeding against traffic as he entered the association’s parking area. Upon stopping the driver and questioning him, officers noticed bags containing bottles inside the vehicle. When questioned, the driver admitted that the bottles contained locally produced liquor and that he had received them from a house in the Al-Wafra residential area.

Based on this information, a security force moved to the house, where it was found to be used for producing local liquor. Authorities arrested seven individuals involved in the operation, including one woman: four Indian nationals and three Nepali nationals.

The operation resulted in the seizure of 820 bottles of local liquor, 110 barrels, two heaters, and two vehicles used for distributing the liquor.
