Alaa Khalifa: Educational sources disclosed to “Al-Anbaa” that new measures have been introduced regarding the verification of certificates held by employees of the Ministry of Education. They clarified that the platform for uploading certificates is currently closed, and will be reopened tomorrow, Monday, the 26th, to complete the procedures for uploading certificates and required documents.

The sources explained that non-Kuwaiti employees wishing to have their academic qualifications recognized must complete the equivalency procedures at the Ministry of Higher Education. They noted that the Contracting Department at the Ministry of Education contacts the Ministry of Higher Education to request the equivalency process. The employee then obtains a receipt or proof of submission of the equivalency application, which must be attached to the Ministry of Education’s platform under the equivalency section when uploading the certificate.

The documents required for the equivalency of non-Kuwaiti employees’ academic qualifications include a certified copy of the original certificate to be recognized, a certified copy of the original transcript, a copy of the civil ID and passport, and, for medical certificates, a license to practice the profession.

The sources added that the required documents also include a copy of the equivalency issued by the Supreme Council of Universities for certificates awarded by private universities in the Arab Republic of Egypt, and a copy of the admission basis, whether a secondary school certificate, diploma, or bachelor’s degree, depending on the qualification.

They emphasized the need to authenticate secondary school certificates issued outside Kuwait, as well as secondary school certificates issued by private schools in Kuwait, from the Private Education Administration in the Mubarak Al-Kabeer area, Plot 2. This requirement does not apply to secondary school certificates issued by government schools in Kuwait.

The sources stressed the necessity of bringing an official letter from the employer requesting the equivalency of the individual’s certificate, addressed to the Ministry of Higher Education, to complete the equivalency procedures.

They clarified that the application for academic qualification equivalency is submitted electronically through the official website of the Ministry of Higher Education, by accessing the Equivalency System. If the applicant does not have an existing account, they must create a new one and begin the application process.

After submitting the application, the applicant must book an electronic appointment through the same account and visit the Ministry of Higher Education at the scheduled time in the Visitors Reception Hall M3 to complete the procedures. The status of the application can then be monitored through the personal account after the review is completed.

They pointed out that the working hours for the Academic Qualifications Equivalency Department to receive visitors are from Sunday to Wednesday, from 8:30 a.m. to 12:45 p.m., in the Visitors Reception Hall M3.

The sources stressed the importance of completing all these procedures before uploading documents to the Ministry of Education’s platform, urging concerned employees to prepare the required documents and make use of the specified period to complete the certificate upload process after the platform is reopened on October 26.
