US President Donald Trump said that Iran is fabricating fake attacks and mine incidents in the Strait of Hormuz to drive up oil prices ahead of the US midterm congressional elections. Trump posted on his social media platform, Truth Social, stating, “Iran is doing everything it can to raise oil prices before the US midterm congressional elections. It is even fabricating fake attacks, mine incidents, and other claims, because the volume of oil passing through the Strait of Hormuz now exceeds even the levels before the war began.” He added, “Iran continues to kill protesters and anyone who opposes it. The Iranian regime is indeed an evil regime. I can only hope that the American people and the world realize how evil this regime is! It has killed 75,000 protesters in less than seven months.
