Justice Minister and Advisor Nasser Al-Sumait affirmed the commitment to elevating cooperation and coordination between the Ministry and the Supreme Council of the Judiciary to the highest levels, and to providing the administrative, financial, and technical needs of the judicial apparatus. He stressed that the goal is singular: to serve justice, facilitate public access to it, and expedite the realization of people’s rights.
This came in a statement issued by the Ministry yesterday following Advisor Al-Sumait’s visit to the Palace of Justice, where he met with the President of the Supreme Council of the Judiciary and the First Senior Counselor of the Court of Cassation, Hani Al-Humaidan; the Vice President of the Supreme Council of the Judiciary and Vice President of the Court of Cassation, First Senior Counselor Derrar Al-Waqian; the President of the Court of Appeal and member of the Supreme Council of the Judiciary, First Senior Counselor Tariq Al-Jaber.
Al-Sumait said that great hopes are placed on the Supreme Council of the Judiciary in serving the judiciary and litigants, and in translating the high directives of His Highness the Amir, Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad, into consolidating justice and safeguarding rights and freedoms.
He expressed congratulations on the valuable trust bestowed by the Amir and their appointments to their judicial positions, wishing them success and divine guidance in bearing this national trust.
He clarified that the impact of this cooperation should be felt by litigants in the ease of procedures and the swift resolution of their cases, as serving the people and safeguarding their rights lie at the core of shared responsibility.
Accompanying the Justice Minister during the visit were the Deputy Minister of Justice, Awatef Al-Sand, and the Acting Assistant Deputy Minister for Technical and Administrative Affairs, Nouf Al-Qabandi.
