Nada Abu Nasr: The Public Authority for Combating Corruption (Nazaha) held a meeting with representatives of the Arab and International Criminal Police Department at the Ministry of the Interior to discuss ways to enhance joint cooperation and coordination, and to leverage the tools, mechanisms, and initiatives offered by the International Criminal Police Organization (Interpol), thereby supporting national efforts to prevent and combat corruption, trace assets derived from its crimes, and recover them.
During the meeting, Brigadier General Tariq Al-Khudher, Director of the Arab and International Criminal Police Department, presented an overview outlining the department’s role, as well as the key tools, services, and communication channels provided by Interpol to member states, particularly in the areas of information exchange, asset tracking, and enhancing international police cooperation and coordination.
This meeting aligns with Nazaha’s commitment to strengthening integration and coordination with relevant national authorities, expanding cooperation with specialized regional and international organizations and networks, and utilizing available international expertise and tools, all of which contribute to enhancing the efficiency of national efforts to prevent and combat corruption, and to bolstering international cooperation in asset tracking and recovery.
On another front, in line with Nazaha’s commitment to expanding cooperation and partnership with national institutions, the Authority held a meeting yesterday with the Sabah Al-Ahmad Center for Talent and Creativity, during which ways to enhance joint cooperation and exchange expertise in areas of mutual interest were discussed.
The meeting also addressed opportunities to develop joint initiatives and programs that support youth potential, foster their creative capacities, and enhance their participation in entrenching the values of integrity and transparency, thereby opening new horizons for institutional cooperation and serving shared national objectives.
