Kuwait Club announced via its official social media accounts that the sons of Ali Thunyan Al-Ghanim—Marzouq, Khaled, and Fahd—have covered the cost of a private charter flight to transport the “White” squad to Tashkent, the capital of Uzbekistan, at the beginning of next week. The team is set to face Nasaf Qarshi in the third matchday of Group 1 of the 2024 AFC Champions League Two, scheduled for next Wednesday.
The initiative by Ali Al-Ghanim’s sons aims to create a favorable environment for the Kuwaiti side, facilitate its mission, and provide suitable conditions for the players and the technical and administrative staff ahead of the Asian fixture.
Kuwait Club is aiming for another victory in the Asian competition after their 3-1 win over Bahrain’s Al-Khaleej in the second matchday last week, following a 2-3 defeat to the UAE’s Al-Ittihad Kalba in the opening round.
The “White” side currently sits second in Group 1 with three points, while Al-Ittihad Kalba leads with six points. Nasaf and Al-Khaleej occupy third and fourth place, respectively, each with one point.
