Trump: Wars in Iran and Ukraine Will End One Way or Another

U.S. President Donald Trump said that the war with Iran and the war between Russia and Ukraine will end one way or another. Trump added during a campaign rally in South Carolina to support Republican candidates in the midterm congressional elections: “We have destroyed Iran’s ability to enrich nuclear material through our operations ‘Midnight Hammer’ and ‘Epic Fury.’” He stressed, “We now ensure that Iran does not possess a nuclear weapon, and these steps should have been taken years ago.” The U.S. president reiterated that “the consequences we bear from a war with Iran are a small price, as it is the world’s leading state sponsor of terrorism.” He continued, “We could withdraw now, but we want to ensure that the results we have achieved regarding Iran endure for a long time.”

This comes as the U.S. Department of the Treasury announced new sanctions on entities linked to Iran. In a statement, the Treasury said the sanctions are part of the “economic pariah” campaign launched by Washington last August to completely isolate the Iranian regime economically. It noted that it “continues to coordinate with its partners in Europe and around the world to cut off the remaining lifelines of the Iranian regime’s economy.” Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent said in a statement: “Those who facilitate Iran’s activities must make a choice. You are either with us or against us. We know your game, we know what you are doing, and we will continue to take action against you.”
