The Criminal Security Sector, represented by the Mubarak Al-Kabir Investigation Department, dismantled a criminal network comprising five foreigners—three men and two women—who had converted a residential property in the Al-Rahab area into a facility for producing and distributing locally brewed alcohol. The operation followed intensive inquiries and field surveillance that led to the identification and raid of the premises, resulting in the arrest of the five suspects and the seizure of approximately 300 containers of alcoholic beverages, each with a capacity of 25 liters, along with materials and equipment used in the production of local spirits. An inspection of the site revealed that production was taking place in unsanitary conditions.
In a statement, the Ministry of the Interior noted that the three-story house was fully utilized for production activities and contained hazardous flammable materials, posing a risk to neighboring residences. The ministry added that coordination was established with the General Fireforce to secure the site and manage the flammable substances, with the Ministry of Electricity, Water, and Renewable Energy to disconnect the power supply in preparation for removing the illegal structures, as well as with the Kuwait Municipality to issue the necessary violation notices and destroy the seized items.
