Two matches are scheduled today as part of the 18th round of the Kuwaiti Premier Handball League, which resumed from last season. At 5:00 PM, Al-Salhiya (6 points) will face Burqan (15 points), while the defending champions and league leaders, Kuwait (19 points), will take on Kazma (14 points) at 6:30 PM. All matches will be held at the Sheikh Saeed Al-Abdullah Complex Hall in the Sabah Al-Salem district.
Al-Salhiya aims to avenge their 23-24 defeat to Al-Arabi in the previous round, despite the difficulty of the task. Meanwhile, Burqan looks to build on their momentum following a 30-13 victory over Al-Nasr. National coach Hussein Habib hopes to secure a positive result, acknowledging the challenge ahead. On the other hand, Burqan’s coach, Yaqoub Al-Musawi, harbors ambitions of narrowing the gap with the league leaders and securing second place.
In the second match, Kazma has established itself as a strong contender for the title, sharing the spotlight with Kuwait, which has traditionally dominated the competition. The Orange team seeks a hard-fought victory to halt the White team’s winning streak.
On the other side, Kuwait possesses the qualities needed for victory and has repeatedly demonstrated its superiority over its rival. Today’s match will ultimately be decided on the court.
