The Kuwaiti men’s national bowling team continued its remarkable achievements by advancing to the round of 16 at the World Championship, held in Germany from the 12th to the 22nd of this month, with 192 players representing 48 countries. Players Aseel Al-Roumi and Mohammed Abdullah delivered outstanding performances that secured their place in the round of 16, before both declined to face the Zionist entity. The draw also placed the women’s national team against the Zionist entity, and it was decided to withdraw from that match.
Both teams are continuing their competition in an enthusiastic atmosphere, striving to deliver strong performances that will elevate Kuwait’s name on the international stage. The men’s team features players with considerable experience, while the women’s team, composed of promising athletes, still requires more experience and intense competition in the coming period.
For his part, Sheikh Talal Al-Mohammad, President of both the Kuwaiti and International Bowling Federations, expressed his satisfaction with the exceptional technical levels demonstrated by Kuwaiti players, noting that the overall performance trend is rising beyond all expectations. He explained that this level of play resulted from the commitment and determination of all participating players to present themselves honorably during the championship matches.
He affirmed that the board of directors will continue to provide all forms of support and remove any obstacles to develop and elevate the sport. Sheikh Al-Mohammad extended his gratitude to the Public Authority for Youth and Sports for its ongoing support and necessary assistance, enabling bowling to continue its progress toward achieving accomplishments that bear Kuwait’s name.
