His Highness and French President Co-Chair Official Kuwait-France Negotiations Session

A session of official talks between the State of Kuwait and the French Republic was held at Bayan Palace this morning. His Highness the Amir of Kuwait, Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, chaired the Kuwaiti side, while French President Emmanuel Macron chaired the French side. The meeting was attended by His Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Sabah Al-Khaled Al-Sabah, His Highness Sheikh Ahmad Al-Abdullah Al-Salim Al-Sabah, Prime Minister, and a number of senior officials from both countries.

During the talks, the parties reviewed the solid trajectory of bilateral relations between the two friendly countries and their peoples, and discussed efforts to support and strengthen these ties across various fields. They also aimed to broaden the frameworks of cooperation between Kuwait and France, particularly in economic, commercial, and investment sectors, and explored ways to enhance their partnership in ways that serve their shared interests. Additionally, the latest developments on the regional and international scenes were discussed, especially regarding evolving situations in the region, along with an exchange of views on these matters.

For his part, Sheikh Hamad Al-Jaber, Minister of Diwan Amiri Affairs, stated that the talks were part of the continuous communication and consultation between the leaderships of the two countries, reflecting the close ties binding them and their shared commitment to continuing coordination in a manner that fulfills the aspirations of the two friendly peoples. He added that the discussions covered all current regional and international developments and key issues of mutual interest.

The talks were conducted in a friendly atmosphere, reflecting the spirit of understanding and friendship that characterizes the good relations between the two friendly countries, in a move that embodies both sides’ desire to strengthen existing cooperation across all fronts.
