Al-Arabi barely defeats Salhiyah in 'Excellent Hand' match

Yaqoub Al-Awadhi’s Al-Arabi defeated Al-Salmiya’s Al-Salibikhat by a score of 24-23 in their match played the evening before yesterday, as part of the 17th round of the Premier Handball League (resuming matches from last season). The Green side (Al-Arabi) moved up to 16 points, securing second place in the overall standings, while Al-Salibikhat remained on 6 points, sitting in the second-to-last position.

Notably, the results for Al-Salmiya and Al-Qadsia were officially expunged after they withdrew from three consecutive league matches, prompting changes to the standings in terms of goals, points, and various disciplinary cards. Consequently, Kuwait SC leads the table with 19 points, followed by Al-Arabi and Burqan in third place with 15 points each. Kazma is fourth with 14 points, while Al-Salibikhat and Al-Nasr occupy the bottom spot with just two points.

Meanwhile, two matches are scheduled for today as part of the 17th round of the First Division League, to be held at the Sheikh Saeed Al-Abdullah Hall in Sabah Al-Salem. At 5:00 PM, Al-Qurain (league leaders with 23 points) will face Al-Sahel (bottom of the table with two points), while at 7:00 PM, Khaitan (runners-up with 22 points) will take on Yarmouk (third place with 15 points).
