Sultan Al-Abdan: The Public Authority for Housing Welfare announced the launch of a new electronic service via the unified government application for electronic services (Sahel), enabling citizens to submit requests to demolish and rebuild mortgaged government houses in favor of the Authority, as part of its efforts to develop its digital services and streamline procedures for citizens.
The Authority clarified that the new service allows owners of documents for government houses mortgaged in favor of the Authority to submit a request to demolish and rebuild their houses by accessing the “Sahel” application, selecting the “Services” icon, then “Public Authority for Housing Welfare,” navigating to “Distribution and Documentation Services,” and choosing the “Request for Demolition and Rebuilding of House” service.
It noted that submitting the request requires completing the required data, with the option to add notes and attach an image of the house document, before sending the request electronically to the relevant authority for review and taking the necessary actions.
The Authority added that the applicant receives a notification via the “Sahel” application confirming successful receipt of their case and its referral to the competent department for review and study, with updates on the request’s status and progress stages provided electronically.
It pointed out that after the case is approved, the citizen receives a notification confirming approval of the demolition and rebuilding request, and must visit the Real Estate Registration Department at the Public Authority for Housing Welfare branch within two working days to complete the procedures for signing the debt acknowledgment.
The Authority emphasized that launching this service aligns with its strategy toward digital transformation and streamlining procedures, which contributes to accelerating case processing, reducing in-person visits, and saving time and effort for citizens, while enhancing the efficiency of services provided to beneficiaries of housing welfare.
