Women's Institute for Development and Peace and Arab Women Network for Peace condemn the heinous attacks on Saudi Arabia and GCC countries

The Institute for Women’s Development and Peace and the Arab Women Network expressed their strong condemnation and outrage at the brazen attacks targeting the security and stability of the sister Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the brotherly nations of the Gulf Arab states. These attacks constitute a blatant violation of all international laws and norms and pose a direct threat to regional and international peace and security.

In a joint press statement issued by the Institute and the Network, the head of the Institute for Women’s Development and Peace and the head of the Arab Women Network, lawyer Kawsar Al-Jou’an, strongly condemned these terrorist acts and attacks, as well as the desperate attempts targeting vital facilities and civilian assets, noting that such attacks undermine the security of the entire Gulf system.

Al-Jou’an expressed absolute and unconditional solidarity with the Kingdom and all Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) member states in all measures they take to protect their security, integrity, and the safety of their citizens and residents on their territories. She emphasized that, at this critical juncture, the GCC must activate joint defensive and security cooperation and continuous coordination mechanisms to monitor and counter threats, thereby reinforcing the principle of collective security.

She called on the international community and soft power actors to assume their responsibilities in condemning these attacks, halting escalation, and ensuring regional stability, which serves as a vital artery for the global economy.
