Alaa Khalifa: The Department of Finance and Financial Institutions at the College of Business Administration, Kuwait University, participated in the third edition of the Bell Initiative for Financial Literacy, organized by the Kuwait Stock Exchange in collaboration with several professional, academic, and investment institutions. The initiative aims to bridge academic knowledge with practical experience and facilitate direct interaction between students and seasoned professionals.
Representing the university, Assistant Professor Dr. Saad Al-Nahidh from the Department of Finance and Financial Institutions at the College of Business Administration took part in a panel discussion titled “From Awareness to Decision: The First Steps in Investment,” held at the Kuwait Stock Exchange headquarters on Monday, October 12, 2026.
Dr. Al-Nahidh stated that the college’s second consecutive participation in the Bell Initiative provides an opportunity to make financial and investment topics more accessible to students, connecting them to their lives and aspirations. He noted that the college seeks, through this participation, to help students understand their financial responsibilities early on and broaden their knowledge of the business environment, thereby enhancing their readiness for professional life and their ability to make informed decisions. He urged all college students to attend upcoming events and benefit from activities that strengthen the link between classroom learning and practical application.
For his part, Hussein Al-Roumi, Vice President of the Student Finance Club, expressed his gratitude and happiness over the club’s participation in organizing the initiative and contributing to raising financial awareness among students. He affirmed that the club will continue to offer events and activities throughout the current academic year to serve students’ interests and enhance their academic and practical knowledge.
