Shakira needed only one night in Madrid to etch her name into Amazon Music history. Her concert, held on the 3rd of this month, became the most-watched live stream by a female artist on the platform, the company announced.
The event took place at “Stadium Shakira,” a temporary arena built specifically for her performance within a music complex in the southern outskirts of the Spanish capital. The show was broadcast free of charge on Amazon Music, Prime Video, and Twitch, marking the first time the Colombian singer’s full concert was streamed globally.
The production team employed around 20 cameras, drones, and a helicopter. Midway through the show, British singer Dua Lipa surprised the audience, performing a quiet acoustic version of “Antología” alongside Shakira.
However, Amazon did not disclose the viewership numbers, which pertain only to female artists. The most-watched stream on the platform remains Puerto Rican singer Bad Bunny’s 2025 concert, according to an Amazon executive prior to the event.
Claire Emoucha, Amazon Music’s director in Spain, told Spanish public broadcaster RTVE that Madrid has become a bridge between Latin America and Europe. According to her, Latin and Spanish-language music account for 65% of digital listening in Spain.
