Saudi Minister of Media Salman Al-Dosari stressed that the safety and security of citizens and residents are a top priority in the Kingdom, condemning the terrorist attacks by the Houthi militia targeting civilians and civilian infrastructure. This came during the launch of a government press conference organized by the Ministry of Media, which reviewed the most prominent national developments and government achievements.
Al-Dosari affirmed that “life in the Kingdom, praise be to God, continues normally, and raising readiness does not mean anxiety, but rather reflects the state’s preparedness for various scenarios, regardless of their likelihood.” He added that the terrorist Houthi militia disregards values and ethics, emphasizing the necessity of obtaining information from official sources.
He considered that “Riyadh today is one of the most dynamic cities whose transformations can be observed as you move through its streets, in terms of mobility, urban expansion, and the growth of projects, culminating in its global presence as a capital for business, investment, and decision-making.” He stressed that societal responsibility lies in obtaining information from official sources and refraining from circulating images, videos, or information related to security and military operations from unknown or unreliable sources, as accurate information is part of safeguarding security.
In another context, the Minister of Media noted that the Kingdom ranks first regionally in the maturity of digital government services at 99%, while the Kingdom’s railways transported more than 38 million passengers during the second quarter of 2026. He also announced the discovery of approximately 114 million tons of crude oil in Jabal Sayid, adding that 63,000 Saudi families acquired their first home during the first half of this year.
Al-Dosari touched upon the transformations underway in Riyadh, stating that it has become one of the most observable cities in terms of mobility, urban expansion, and project growth, reaching its global status as a capital for business, investment, and decision-making.
