Minister of Housing: 385 plots allocated to residents of 'Al-Rabiya' as part of regularization efforts in Shorouk City

Cairo - Nadeh Imam: Housing, Infrastructure, and New Urban Communities Minister Eng. Randa Al-Munshawi announced the allocation of 385 land plots to residents of “Al-Rabia” as part of efforts to complete regularization procedures for lands added to the city of Shorouk. This was achieved through the 17th public lottery for citizens who had regularized their status and fulfilled the required procedures in the area.

The Minister also monitored the implementation status of water supply, sewage networks, and roads in the areas added to Shorouk city, stressing the need to intensify work on infrastructure projects and remove any obstacles.

In the same context, Al-Munshawi directed the swift completion of regularization procedures for landholders in areas added to new cities, in parallel with the implementation of infrastructure projects. This aims to accelerate land delivery, ensure stability for citizens, and support development and urban expansion plans in those cities.

On his part, Mohamed Zakaria, head of the Shorouk City Development Authority, clarified that the 17th public lottery included the allocation of 385 land plots: 21 plots of 209 square meters, 204 plots of 276 square meters, 24 plots of 400 square meters, 122 plots of 500 square meters, 8 plots of 600 square meters, and 6 plots of 700 square meters.

The manual public lottery was conducted in accordance with approved detailed plans for clients who had paid the initial installments for areas whose regularization had been approved. The event was held in the presence of representatives from the New Urban Communities Authority, the city authority, and citizens.

Meanwhile, the Housing Minister monitored the commencement of road and infrastructure development works in the “Tayba” area as part of basic infrastructure implementation, following the resolution of various encroachments and obstacles that had previously hindered the start of construction. This paves the way for the actual implementation of roads, water supply and sewage networks, and electrical supply networks.

These development works in the area precede the establishment of an urban community covering approximately 1,000 feddans in “Tayba,” which is distinguished by its strategic location and direct views of the Cairo-Suez Road and the Ring Road, thereby enhancing opportunities for urban development in the western extension of Shorouk city.

The Minister stressed the necessity of accelerating implementation rates and adhering to the specified schedule, while maintaining continuous field monitoring of works on a periodic basis and tracking implementation progress in real time. This ensures that targets are met within the designated timeframes.

The “Tayba” area is one of the targeted zones for development in the western extension of Shorouk city. The ongoing road and infrastructure works represent a fundamental step in preparing the area and providing the necessary basic infrastructure to establish a comprehensive urban community.

The Minister also reviewed the progress and implementation rates of infrastructure works in the “Al-Salam” area, which include water and sewage networks and road works. This is part of the continuous monitoring of basic infrastructure projects in areas added to the city, reflecting the authority’s commitment to accelerating implementation and completing works according to the specified schedules.
