Commercial Bank of Kuwait continues to support educational and youth initiatives by participating as a Gold Sponsor of the International Higher Education Exhibition, held over two days at the Badriya Hall in the Jumeirah Messilah Beach Hotel & Resort. The event features a select group of local and international universities and colleges from more than 14 countries, providing students in Kuwait with opportunities to learn about undergraduate and postgraduate programs. It also allows students, parents, and interested parties to engage directly with representatives of participating educational institutions to explore academic programs and admission requirements.
Speaking on the occasion, Badour Al-Buhamseen, Assistant General Manager of Marketing – Retail Banking Sector at the bank, said: “Commercial Bank is committed to supporting initiatives that empower youth and enhance their educational opportunities, driven by our belief that investing in education is an investment in Kuwait’s future. Our participation as a Gold Sponsor of the International Higher Education Exhibition reaffirms our commitment to supporting students and helping them discover the academic opportunities and options available to them, thereby contributing to building a generation equipped with the knowledge and skills needed to shape a better future.”
Al-Buhamseen added that this sponsorship is part of the bank’s ongoing efforts in corporate social responsibility and its dedication to supporting educational initiatives that contribute to community development and youth empowerment, recognizing young people as a fundamental pillar in building Kuwait’s future. It also aligns with the bank’s efforts to promote its banking services, which are specifically designed to meet the needs of a broad segment of society.
Explaining further, Al-Buhamseen noted that, in line with its responsibility to promote financial inclusion, the bank offers the “YOU” account for students and youth aged 15 to 25. This savings account comes with a special package for students who transfer their student allowances. Designed to be simple and digital, the account offers numerous rewards and digital banking services tailored to the daily needs of young people. Additionally, prepaid cards are provided as the ideal companion for students during travel, as they are multi-currency, can be loaded with more than one foreign currency, and offer ease of use, reliability, and high security standards.
On the sidelines of its participation, the Commercial Bank team continues to raise public awareness as part of the “Let’s Stay Informed” campaign. The bank disseminates educational content to inform and protect its customers against fraud and to emphasize the importance of safeguarding their banking data, such as credit card numbers and OTP codes. Customers are advised to contact the bank immediately in case of card loss or theft. The bank also clarified that it never requests customers to disclose any personal banking information or account details over the phone, via SMS, or through social media messaging applications.
