The Municipality has completed a study regarding the addition of commercial activities to the veterinary hospital in Salamiya.

Municipality Director General Eng. Manal Al-Asfour stated in a report to the Municipal Council that the site is located in the Salamiya area, plot number (8), and is a veterinary hospital with an area of 2,112 square meters.

A letter was received from the Public Authority for Agricultural Affairs and Fisheries, including a request to add activities to the private veterinary hospital in the Salamiya area (Al-Bayt Al-Hayawan Private Veterinary Hospital). The intended activities are veterinary services related to the hospital’s designated function, including the sale of animal supplies and feed, and the sale of veterinary equipment.

This follows the expansion of the veterinary hospital operated by the Public Authority for Agricultural Affairs and Fisheries in the Salamiya area, pursuant to a Municipal Council decision dated November 21, 2022. The decision approved the Authority’s request to expand the veterinary hospital located in Salamiya, plot number (8), which has an area of 1,800 square meters, by adding an area of 312 square meters. This brings the total area of the hospital after expansion to 2,112 square meters. Additionally, the adjacent parking lots will be expanded by 170.5 square meters, bringing their total area after expansion to 1,100.5 square meters. This is subject to compliance with the conditions stipulated by the ministries of public services and coordination with them prior to implementation, as well as coordination with the Ministry of Finance (State Property Administration) to amend the state property contract.

The Master Planning Administration was contacted and confirmed approval of the addition at a rate of 1% of the designated site area. The Master Planning Administration’s letter was presented to the Regulatory Approvals Committee, which recommended approving the submission of a report to the Municipal Council following the presentation of the Master Planning Administration’s letter.

Therefore, the technical opinion included approval of the Public Authority for Agricultural Affairs and Fisheries’ request to add certain commercial activities to the private veterinary hospital located in Salamiya, plot 8, with a total area of 2,112 square meters. This addition represents 1% of the site area, equivalent to 21.12 square meters, within the ground floor, as follows:

* Retail sale of animal supplies and feed.

* Sale of veterinary medicines and veterinary equipment.

This is subject to the following conditions:

* Authorization for the relevant departments to modify activity names in accordance with the names approved by the Ministry of Commerce and Industry.

* No commercial activities shall be conducted outside the building; services must be provided exclusively from within the building.

* Coordination with the Ministry of Finance regarding the concluded contract.
