The attack resulted in the deaths and injuries of innocent civilians, including Saudi nationals and individuals of other nationalities among passengers and airport staff, and led to the temporary suspension of operational activities at the airport.
In a statement, the Ministry emphasized that this heinous and cowardly attack constitutes a blatant violation of international law and international humanitarian law. It stressed that the repeated, systematic hostile acts targeting civilian objects and vital infrastructure represent a serious escalation and a direct threat to the safety of air navigation and the security of civilians, necessitating accountability and prosecution of those responsible.

It underscored that the security of Saudi Arabia is an integral part of the security of the State of Kuwait and the security of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries.
The Ministry also conveyed Kuwait’s sincere condolences and heartfelt sympathies to the leadership, government, and people of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, as well as to the governments and peoples of the countries to which the victims belong, and to their families and loved ones, while expressing wishes for the speedy recovery of the injured.
It called on the international community to fulfill its responsibilities and adopt a firm stance against these repeated attacks, ensuring the protection of civilian objects and civil aviation infrastructure, preventing their recurrence in the future, and guaranteeing that perpetrators do not escape punishment.
