Artist and director Nasar Al-Nassar affirmed in his interview with colleague Sara Al-Khudairy on the program “Al-Anbaa’ Meeting” that he is “everyone’s friend,” and that his relationship with students at Kuwait University, as a supporting faculty member, gave him the opportunity to connect with multiple generations.

He stated that the development of theater today does not mean that what was presented in the 1970s and 1980s was not beautiful, as pure art is loved by audiences in every era, and each period has its own unique imprint.

Al-Nassar noted that he presents the theatrical form he prefers, and does not see it as his duty to compete with his colleagues in performance theater. He pointed out that his current play, “Rakan Yama Kan,” features ten songs performed in his own style, avoiding imitation, and ensuring they reach the audience without causing boredom.

Al-Nassar revealed his admiration for the play “Hades,” directed by artist Ahmed Al-Awadi during one of the sessions of the Kuwait Theater Festival, affirming that he wished to direct it because it stirred him internally, and he anticipated it would face some challenges. He emphasized that each director has his own vision and approach to handling a theatrical work.
