The Arab League strongly condemned on Sunday the continued terrorist attacks by the Houthi militia on the territory of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, most recently the attack on King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh, which resulted in casualties and injuries among civilians.

In a statement, the Arab League emphasized that the repeated targeting of civil aviation facilities and the endangerment of the lives of travelers and staff constitute a highly dangerous escalation and a blatant violation of international law. It also poses a direct threat to the safety of civilians, international air navigation, and the security and stability of the region.

In this regard, the League reaffirmed its full solidarity with Saudi Arabia and its steadfast support for the Kingdom in all legitimate measures it takes to protect its security, the integrity of its territory, and the safety of its citizens and residents. It stressed that the security of the Kingdom is an integral part of Arab national security.

The Arab League expressed its sincere condolences to the Kingdom and to the families of the victims, and extended its wishes for the swift recovery of the injured.

Earlier, the Saudi General Authority of Civil Aviation announced that 12 people were killed and 309 others were injured in the attack on King Khalid International Airport yesterday.
