'Gulf Cooperation': Houthi attacks on King Khalid Airport in Riyadh a blatant violation of international law

The Secretary-General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), Jassem Mohamed Al-Bedaiwi, strongly condemned and denounced in the strongest terms the treacherous terrorist attacks carried out by the Houthi militia on King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh. He emphasized that the repeated targeting of this civilian facility reflects a criminal pattern aimed at terrorizing innocent people and endangering the lives of travelers and staff, in blatant violation of international law and international humanitarian law.
In a statement, Al-Bedaiwi stressed that these attacks and the transformation of civilian airports into targets constitute a highly dangerous escalation that threatens the safety of civil aviation, necessitating a firm international response to deter such Houthi practices.
The Secretary-General affirmed that GCC member states stand united in support of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, fully backing all measures it takes to safeguard its security, sovereignty, and the safety of its citizens and residents on its territory. He underscored that the security of the Kingdom is an integral part of the security of all GCC states, and any threat to it affects the entire Gulf system.
