The State of Qatar, in the strongest terms, condemned the Houthi militia’s attacks on King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, which resulted in casualties. According to a statement by the Qatari Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Houthi attacks were deemed a serious violation of Saudi sovereignty and a direct threat to regional security, as well as to the safety of civilians, civilian infrastructure, and air navigation.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs reiterated Qatar’s full solidarity with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and its steadfast support for all lawful measures undertaken by Saudi Arabia to safeguard its sovereignty, security, territorial integrity, and interests. It emphasized that Saudi security is an integral part of Qatar’s security and of the collective security framework of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) states.
The Ministry also expressed Qatar’s best wishes for the swift recovery of the injured.
