Video: Expulsion of Foreign Worker and Impounding of Vehicle for Littering in Jabriya

The Ministry of Interior announced that a “half-lorry” vehicle was impounded and its driver was referred to the Traffic Department with a view to his deportation, after he was caught dumping waste in the Jabriya area. In a statement, the ministry said traffic officers arrested the expatriate, a Bangladeshi national, following a complaint about his conduct. It added that it was also found that he was operating a heavy goods vehicle with a driver’s license that did not authorize him to do so. Traffic violations were issued against him, including littering and driving a motor vehicle with an invalid license. He was transferred to the Traffic Department under preventive detention pending deportation proceedings, while the vehicle was impounded in accordance with standard procedures. The General Directorate of Traffic affirmed that it would not tolerate such behaviors and violations, and would continue to take the necessary legal action against offenders to help preserve road safety and the public image.
