Deputy Minister of 'Social Affairs': Investigation into allegations of child abuse at a nursery and taking necessary legal measures

Deputy Minister of Social Affairs, acting, Faisal Al-Kandari, confirmed that necessary measures have been taken, under the directives of Minister of Social Affairs, Family, and Childhood Dr. Amthal Al-Huwaili, regarding a video circulating on social media platforms that shows allegations of child abuse inside one of the nurseries.

Al-Kandari clarified that the relevant administration has been directed to summon the child’s guardian and the person in charge of the nursery to investigate the circumstances of the incident, alongside taking the necessary legal actions regarding the case.

Al-Kandari emphasized that the Minister’s directives are clear and firm regarding the protection of children and ensuring their safety, with no tolerance for any violations that compromise their security and well-being. He affirmed that legal measures would be taken against anyone found responsible.

Regarding surveillance cameras, Al-Kandari noted that all nurseries are required to install surveillance cameras in accordance with the circular issued on this matter, thereby enhancing oversight and safeguarding children’s safety.
