Company with Only Two Human Managers... AI Takes Over Work

Software development, marketing, and customer service are tasks typically distributed among teams of employees, but a new Japanese company plans to assign them to AI agents, relying on just two human members on its board of directors.

Hennege, a Japanese firm specializing in cloud security services, announced the establishment of its subsidiary, HENNGE AI, on October 1, 2026, to test a regulatory model that employs no other staff, with AI systems handling a broad range of daily business operations.

“Agents” are programs capable of executing a series of tasks using digital tools, rather than merely answering questions. According to the company, these systems will take over software development, marketing, customer service, and administrative tasks, while sales and certain administrative functions will remain with the parent company.

The new company is developing an AI Gateway service to help organizations manage AI models, monitor usage costs, set budgets, and control access permissions, with plans to launch it by September 2027.

The new structure aims to test the benefits and challenges of relying on autonomous agents, and then leverage the experience to enhance services offered to clients, particularly in security and cost control.

The announcement does not yet provide results proving the success of this model; it marks the beginning of an experiment in distributing work between humans and automated systems, with administrative responsibility remaining with humans.
