CENTCOM: 133 commercial ships rerouted in the Strait of Hormuz since the imposition of sanctions on Iran

U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) announced that U.S. forces have rerouted 133 commercial vessels in the Strait of Hormuz since the imposition of sanctions on Iran, affirming that these measures are taken to ensure compliance with the established restrictions. In a statement posted on the X platform, CENTCOM said that U.S. forces redirected 133 commercial ships to ensure adherence to the procedures in place in the region. CENTCOM accompanied its statement with an image of a U.S. Navy MH-60S Seahawk helicopter taking off from the guided-missile destroyer USS John Paul Jones (DDG 53). The command clarified that the destroyer supports the implementation of U.S. sanctions against Iran, as part of ongoing military operations in the region aimed at ensuring navigation security and enforcing the announced measures.
