Finance Minister: Economic Activity Improves with Strong Performance of Industrial and Production Sectors in the Past Fiscal Year

Finance Minister Ahmed Kojok affirmed that economic activity is improving, citing strong performance by industrial and productive sectors during the last fiscal year. During his meeting with a number of Turkish investors on the sidelines of his participation in the Istanbul Economic Forum, the minister called on Turkish companies to explore investment opportunities in Egypt and take advantage of tax and customs incentives.
Kojok said, “We possess abundant resources, advanced infrastructure, and a strategic location that attracts investment,” adding that the government is implementing fiscal and structural reforms to pave the way for greater private-sector participation in economic and developmental activities.
He further noted that the ministry is working to improve the tax environment by strengthening trust, partnership, and support with the business community, emphasizing that they are committed to listening to the ideas, proposals, and demands of businesses and addressing any challenges they face.
