Kuwait secured a significant and comprehensive 7-1 victory over Al-Nasr in their match today at the Ali Sabah Al-Salem Stadium, as the first round of the Zain Premier League kicked off. With this win, Al-Abyad (Kuwait) moved to the top of the league table with 10 points, while Al-Anabi (Al-Nasr) remained on 6 points in fourth place.

Kuwait started the match with intense pressure on Al-Nasr’s goal and created several scoring opportunities, eventually allowing Mohammed Marhoon to open the scoring after a cross from Mishaari Ghanam, which Marhoon finished off skillfully past Al-Nasr goalkeeper Khaled Al-Ajaji (26th minute). Following the goal, Al-Anabi attempted to equalize through a series of attacks that failed to threaten Kuwait’s goalkeeper, Saud Al-Houshan.

In the second half, substitute Ayman Lakkaj nearly leveled the score for Al-Nasr, but his shot hit the post and rebounded to him. He then delivered a cross that Kuwait defender Malik Zola accidentally deflected into his own net, allowing Al-Nasr to equalize (54th minute). However, Kuwait responded quickly when Ali Hussein doubled their lead with a shot from inside the penalty area (57th minute). Yassin Al-Kheneisi then scored Kuwait’s third goal after a pass from Ali Hussein inside the box, firing a low, curling shot into the back of the net (64th minute). Al-Kheneisi quickly added a fourth goal after breaking free on goal, following a precise pass from Mehdi Barhamah (65th minute). Substitute Ahmed Al-Dhafiri scored Kuwait’s fifth goal after a powerful shot from substitute Abdullah Al-Qarzawi hit the crossbar and fell to Al-Dhafiri, who tapped it into the net (73rd minute). He did not stop there, as he also added a sixth goal via a free-kick from Faisal Zayed (84th minute), and Amr Abdel Fattah completed the scoring with a seventh goal in the 88th minute. The match was well officiated by referee Ali Abbas.
