The acting CEO of Kuwait Oil Tankers Company, Sheikh Khaled Ahmad Al-Malek, expressed his pride in the Gulf honor he received in recognition of the company’s role in supporting policies for the localization and replacement of national labor and enhancing the participation of Kuwaiti talent in the labor market.

This statement was made by Sheikh Khaled Ahmad in an interview with KUNA on the occasion of his being honored by Bahrain’s Deputy Prime Minister, Sheikh Khalid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, at a ceremony held on Thursday. The event was attended by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs, Shuraidh Al-Muwasharji, heads of the participating Gulf delegations at the 22nd meeting of the Committee of Ministers and Heads of Civil Service Authorities, the 12th meeting of the Committee of Ministers of Labor, and the 12th meeting of the Committee of Ministers of Social Affairs and Development, hosted by the Kingdom of Bahrain, as well as Secretary-General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Jassem Al-Budaiwi.

Sheikh Khaled Ahmad expressed his pride in this honor, which reflects appreciation for the efforts made to support policies for the localization and replacement of national labor and enhance the participation of Kuwaiti talent in the labor market. He emphasized that this recognition serves as an incentive to continue working on developing and qualifying national cadres in ways that contribute to achieving the state’s developmental goals.

He praised the role played by the sister Kingdom of Bahrain in hosting and organizing Gulf events and strengthening the trajectory of joint cooperation among GCC member states, expressing his sincere gratitude and appreciation to those behind the ceremony for this honor, which embodies the Gulf’s interest in recognizing national talent and highlighting their contributions to developing work environments and elevating institutional performance.

The Kuwaiti oil sector is distinguished by its pivotal role in supporting efforts to localize and replace national labor and enhance the participation of Kuwaiti talent in the labor market. This is achieved by providing employment opportunities, qualifying national cadres, developing their skills, and creating a suitable work environment that fosters the presence of citizens across various specialties and oil-related fields, thereby supporting the development trajectory and consolidating the role of national talent in the labor market.
