Labor Authority Participates in 12th Meeting of GCC Ministers of Labor Committee in Manama

The Public Authority for Manpower participated in the 12th meeting of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Ministers of Labor Committee in Manama, with a delegation headed by the Authority’s Director General, Eng. Rabab Al-Asimi.

In a statement received by KUNA, the Authority said that its participation in the meeting stems from Kuwait’s commitment to supporting and enhancing joint GCC labor efforts, as well as exchanging expertise and experiences among GCC countries amid the rapid changes affecting labor markets, which necessitate the development of policies and legislation, the enhancement of workforce skills, and the leveraging of digital transformation and technological advancements.

According to the statement, the meeting addressed several agenda items, including discussions on prospects for strengthening and developing joint GCC labor efforts in the labor sector, a review of measures taken regarding decisions of the GCC Ministers of Labor Committee, and an assessment of key achievements in implementing strategic initiatives stemming from the action plan of the GCC Ministers of Labor Committee for the period 2024–2029.
