A car theft from a parking lot in one of the buildings in Salmiya escalated to a felony after police investigations identified a suspect accused of committing the crime. A security source told Al-Anba that the vehicle’s owner reported the theft while the car was parked in the parking lot of the building where he resides. He noted that the vehicle was an American-made 2026 model, valued at approximately 4,500 dinars. The source added that police inquiries into the incident led to the identification of a known suspect, prompting the Public Prosecution to classify the case as a felony theft. The incident was recorded at the Salmiya Police Station and referred to the competent authorities to complete legal procedures.
