Deputies of Justice and Oil Honored Among Leading Figures in Civil Service in GCC Countries

Deputy Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Bahrain, Sheikh Khalid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, honored Awatf Al-Sand, Deputy Minister of Justice, among the leading figures in the field of civil service in the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries for 2026, in the presence of GCC Secretary-General Jassem Al-Budaiwi.

The honor was presented during a ceremony recognizing pioneering projects and figures in the fields of civil service, labor, and social affairs, held yesterday Thursday in the Kingdom of Bahrain.

The recognition honors Al-Sand’s professional career and her contributions to developing work and services at the Ministry of Justice, reflecting the support and empowerment afforded to Kuwaiti women, their presence in leadership positions, and their role in advancing government operations.

Also honored at the ceremony was Nasser Fahad Al-Malek, Deputy Minister of Oil, among the outstanding national talents in the civil service sector of the GCC countries for 2026, in recognition of his professional career spanning approximately 25 years in government service, during which he made significant efforts and contributions in administrative and institutional development, strategic planning, policy-making, digital transformation, and innovation.

In this context, Sheikh Dr. Nasser Al-Malek expressed his pride at being honored on behalf of the State of Kuwait.

In a statement to KUNA on the sidelines of the ceremony for recognizing pioneering projects and figures in civil service, labor, and social affairs in the GCC countries, Al-Malek emphasized that the recognition represents an appreciation of national talents, institutional work, and the collective efforts behind achieved accomplishments, serving as a motivation to continue working, contributing, and improving government performance to serve the State of Kuwait and enhance its presence within the framework of joint Gulf cooperation.

Al-Malek added that investing in national talents and developing their capabilities constitutes the foundation for elevating institutional performance and keeping pace with rapid changes in government administration. He noted that the coming phase requires continued development of planning tools and policy-making, accelerating digital transformation, and consolidating a culture of innovation and excellence, while leveraging modern technologies and artificial intelligence to enhance work efficiency and improve the quality of performance and services.
