Foreign Ministry Condemns Houthi Militia Attacks on Abha and King Khalid International Airports: A Blatant Violation of Saudi Sovereignty

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed Kuwait’s strong condemnation and denunciation of the brazen attacks by the Houthi militia on Abha and King Khalid International Airports in the sister Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, which resulted in several deaths and dozens of civilian injuries, in a blatant violation of the Kingdom’s sovereignty and a flagrant breach of international law and international humanitarian law.

In a statement, the Ministry emphasized Kuwait’s unequivocal rejection of the recurrence of these cowardly attacks targeting innocent civilians and civilian and economic infrastructure, stressing the urgent need to halt them immediately.

It stated that, while reaffirming Kuwait’s absolute solidarity with the sister Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and its support for all measures taken to safeguard its sovereignty, security, and the protection of its citizens and residents on its territory, it underscored that the security of the Kingdom is an integral part of Kuwait’s security and the security of the Gulf Cooperation Council countries. The Ministry expressed its sincere condolences and heartfelt sympathies to the victims’ families and wished the injured a swift recovery.
