A delegation from the Public Authority for Combating Corruption (Nazaha), led by Dr. Rana Al-Faris, reviewed Saudi Arabia’s “I’timad” platform and its role in enhancing transparency in government competitions, improving expenditure efficiency, and facilitating financial transactions.
This visit took place at the National Center for Government Resources Systems in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, where the delegation observed the initiative and studied its foundational elements.
In a statement, Dr. Al-Faris emphasized that closing avenues for corruption requires developing the systems through which decisions are made and public funds are disbursed. She stressed the importance of clear procedures for disbursements and contracting, ensuring fair competition, and strengthening the capacity for review and accountability.
For his part, Dr. Majid Al-Daihani, Vice Chairman of the Authority’s Board of Directors, clarified that procedural clarity and data integration support oversight and help identify risks.
Dr. Al-Daihani reaffirmed the importance of studying the platform’s foundational elements and evaluating what can be leveraged in the State of Kuwait, in coordination with relevant authorities.
The “I’timad” platform aims to standardize procedures, accelerate financial transactions, increase transparency and government expenditure efficiency, as well as enhance local content and broaden the participation of small and medium-sized enterprises.
