Cypriot Minister of Justice: Enhancing Cooperation with Kuwait in Security and Legal Fields

Our Ambassador to the Republic of Cyprus, Abdullah Al-Turki, held talks with Cypriot Minister of Justice and Public Order Kostas Viteris on ways to enhance security and legal cooperation between the two friendly countries.

In a statement to KUNA following the meeting, Ambassador Al-Turki said the discussions focused on strengthening communication and coordination between the relevant authorities in both countries and exchanging expertise, noting that the Cypriot Minister of Justice and Public Order oversees several security and police files.

He added that Minister Viteris expressed his country’s desire to broaden cooperation with the State of Kuwait and enhance coordination between the relevant authorities in both countries to serve mutual interests.

Ambassador Al-Turki clarified that the talks also addressed Cyprus’s experience with the Amalthia initiative and the humanitarian sea corridor to the Gaza Strip, as well as its role in managing regional crises. He noted that the Cypriot minister invited him to visit the Search and Rescue Coordination Center in Larnaca to learn about its functions, operational mechanisms, and role in coordinating related operations.

The ambassador affirmed Kuwait’s commitment to continuing the development of its relations with the Republic of Cyprus and strengthening cooperation between the two friendly countries.
