Kuwait Municipality, in coordination with relevant authorities, announced the disconnection of electricity from four properties found to be in violation of regulations due to the housing of single men in the Capital Governorate. Ghanem Al-Shammari, head of the municipality’s inspection team in the Capital Governorate, told reporters that the municipality would take all necessary supervisory measures against violators and ensure compliance with the relevant regulations and laws. He explained that the municipal inspection team had identified several residential properties housing single men in residential areas and had issued warnings to those properties; however, no response was received, prompting the disconnection of their electricity supply. Al-Shammari noted that the inspection rounds also resulted in issuing two violation notices and nine warnings to other non-compliant sites in the Doha and Salwa areas, emphasizing that the municipality would take all appropriate actions against violators if the practice of housing single men continued in those areas. He expressed gratitude to all state entities participating in the municipality’s inspection rounds, commending the Ministry of Interior for securing all sites where electricity was disconnected, as well as the Ministry of Electricity, Water, and Renewable Energy for their cooperation in completing the necessary procedures.
