Minister of Social Affairs to Ministry Leaders: Accelerate Digital Transformation Steps and Develop Electronic Services and Systems

Tarek Araabi: Minister of Social Affairs, Family, and Childhood Affairs, Dr. Amtal Al-Huwaili, emphasized the importance of accelerating digital transformation steps and developing electronic services and systems, which contribute to simplifying procedures, reducing processing times, enhancing performance efficiency, and improving the quality of services provided to citizens and clients.

During her meeting with ministry executives, Al-Huwaili stressed the need to prioritize clients and expedite the processing of their transactions, strengthen cooperation and coordination among the ministry’s sectors, and remove administrative obstacles that delay beneficiaries’ interests, all while adhering to the laws and regulations governing work.

She directed that periodic meetings be held with executives to monitor work progress and provide her with regular statistics and reports detailing the volume of achievements and completed tasks, alongside presenting clear plans and strategies for each sector linked to specific timelines and measurable indicators.

Al-Huwaili urged executives to feel a sense of trust and responsibility, to work as a unified team, and to keep God in mind in their work. She noted that her door is open to them to address any obstacles facing operations and that she is ready to work and cooperate with them in any department or sector to serve the best interests of the ministry and its clients.

Additionally, Minister of Social Affairs, Family, and Childhood Affairs, Dr. Amtal Al-Huwaili, conducted an inspection visit to the headquarters of the Public Authority for Persons with Disabilities in the Hawalli area to follow up on work developments and assess the key issues and challenges facing the authority’s sectors.

During her meeting with the authority’s executives, Al-Huwaili reviewed the progress of work and procedures across various sectors, directing the need to expedite the processing of transactions for persons with disabilities and remove any obstacles that might delay their access to entitled services, while finding practical and swift solutions to existing concerns and challenges.

She stressed the urgency of accelerating procedures related to prosthetic devices and providing them to beneficiaries without delay, emphasizing the importance of enhancing performance efficiency and strengthening coordination among the authority’s sectors, which will positively reflect on the quality and speed of services provided to persons with disabilities.
