Mostafa Madbouly: 'We Accept Any Criticism... and Welcome All Opposing Opinions'

Cairo – Ahmed Sabri: Dr. Mostafa Madbouly, Prime Minister, chaired the government’s weekly meeting yesterday at its headquarters in the New Capital, where a number of topics and work files were discussed and reviewed.

At the outset of the meeting, the Prime Minister reiterated his congratulations to President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, to the leaders and heroes of the valiant Armed Forces, and to all members of the great Egyptian people, on the occasion of the 53rd anniversary of the glorious October Victory. He emphasized that we continue to draw inspiration from the profound meanings of sacrifice, devotion, and willpower that this anniversary embodies.

In this regard, the Prime Minister pointed to the speech delivered by President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi on this auspicious occasion, which included a tribute of reverence and appreciation for the brave men of the Armed Forces, affirming that they will remain the impregnable fortress and protective shield of the nation, safeguarding its security and stability. He also highlighted the President’s resolve to address various accumulated problems and current challenges, and to work tirelessly to complete the nation-building process, achieving the progress and development befitting Egypt, its people, and its history. In this context, he confirmed that the government will continue its efforts to enhance the quality of services provided to citizens across various sectors.

The Prime Minister also noted that the President’s speech contained messages and reaffirmations regarding the fundamental principles of Egyptian policy in dealing with numerous regional and international files and issues. He reiterated the Egyptian state’s commitment to supporting African-African cooperation, and to upholding its firm stance on respecting the sovereignty, unity, and territorial integrity of states, supporting their national institutions, rejecting interference in their internal affairs, and settling disputes through peaceful means.

During the meeting, the Prime Minister turned to the ongoing preparations for organizing “Egypt Forum 2026,” scheduled to take place from the 19th to the 24th of the current month, in implementation of the directives of His Excellency President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi, President of the Republic. He pointed out the importance of the preparatory meetings and consultations being held to review and discuss the various axes and visions that will be examined during the forum’s diverse sessions, aiming to address the concerns and questions of public opinion regarding several priority files and issues.

The Prime Minister praised the remarkable interest shown in the website of “Egypt Forum 2026,” launched at the beginning of the current month, as an interactive platform to introduce the forum, its axes, and its activities, and to provide an opportunity for citizens, experts, and specialists to share their views and proposals on the issues and topics under discussion. He confirmed the government’s interest in the various ideas and contributions raised by participants on the website across multiple sectors, and its efforts to crystallize these ideas and visions, in order to further enhance the quality of services provided to citizens in various sectors, thereby meeting the aspirations and needs of this great people.

The Prime Minister reiterated that the objective of holding this forum is to listen to the various opinions and proposals raised concerning public concerns, as well as to address discussions surrounding several files and issues, respond to different questions, and present the challenges faced in many sectors and the government’s mechanisms for addressing them, thereby sending reassuring messages to the Egyptian citizen. He stated, “We welcome any criticism and are open to all differing opinions.”
