Foreign Minister: Reopening of Slovak Embassy in Kuwait a Key Step in Strengthening Bilateral Relations

Foreign Minister Sheikh Jara Al-Jaber met with Juraj Blanar, Minister of Foreign and European Affairs of the friendly Slovak Republic, on the occasion of his official visit to the State of Kuwait accompanied by a delegation. During the meeting, the two sides discussed the strong bilateral relations between the two friendly countries and ways to enhance and develop them in the interest of their shared objectives.
Sheikh Jara Al-Jaber welcomed the decision of the Slovak government to reopen its embassy in Kuwait, emphasizing the importance of this step in strengthening Kuwait-Slovak relations and opening broader horizons for cooperation and joint coordination between the two friendly countries.
The two sides also discussed developments in regional and international affairs and exchanged views on issues of mutual interest, foremost among them the developments in the region and diplomatic efforts aimed at de-escalation and enhancing security and stability.
The meeting witnessed the signing of a memorandum of understanding on the establishment of political consultations between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kuwait and the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs of the Slovak Republic.
Sheikh Jara Al-Jaber hosted a luncheon in honor of Juraj Blanar and the accompanying delegation.
